Information For Librarians

The Barakarsa Health Sciences Journal (BHSJ) highly values and supports the role of librarians in managing and disseminating quality scholarly resources to the academic community, researchers, healthcare institutions, and the general public.

We encourage university, hospital, and research institution librarians to list BHSJ in their electronic journal (e-journal) holdings and library catalog collections.

Technical Notes & Advantages for Librarians:

  • Open & Free Infrastructure: This journal is managed using the open-source Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All published articles are fully Open Access, requiring zero institutional subscription fees for your library.
  • Metadata Compatibility (Metadata Harvesting): OJS seamlessly supports the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) protocol, allowing your library’s discovery and repository systems to automatically and efficiently harvest BHSJ article metadata.
  • Freedom of Distribution: Librarians are permitted to distribute, print, or integrate permanent links of this journal's articles into Learning Management Systems (LMS) or internal library catalogs to facilitate ongoing research and academic activities.
