Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to BARAKARSA Health Sciences Journal (BHSJ) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of the published articles.

Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the editorial office conducts an initial evaluation to assess whether the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope, complies with submission guidelines, and meets basic standards of scientific writing.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using reliable similarity detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity scores or evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The journal employs a double-blind peer review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

Reviewer Evaluation

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several criteria, including:

Originality and novelty of the research
Scientific rigor and methodological quality
Clarity of presentation and structure
Relevance to the field of health sciences
Significance of the findings for scientific knowledge or clinical practice

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

Accept without revision
Accept with minor revisions
Major revision required
Reject

The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Revision and Publication

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewer comments within the specified timeframe. Once accepted, manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and final publication.
